Here in the US today is Groundhog’s day.  Legend has it that the groundhog emerges from his burrow and if he sees his shadow there will be 6 more weeks of winter – if not spring is right around the bend.

Now having never known a groundhog personally, I can’t tell you if this is absolutely true or not, but it did get me thinking.

Giving credibility to the groundhog is akin to basing your beliefs on the flip of a coin.  Heads life is sunny…tails there are bleak times ahead.

Think about how many times you do this in life.

Good news can have you skipping down the hall and singing while bad news can completely ruin your day.

So what’s the reality?  The groundhog experiences what he experiences, but you alone are responsible for your interpretation, and how you allow it to affect you.

Isn’t it cool we have so much power over our own reality :)
