What Is Your “Normal?”

The things that make up your everyday life are those things that fit into the realm of “normal” for you.  This includes the place you live, where you work, what you eat, how you look, activities you do, etc.  They are so much a part of who you are that they just seem to happen on auto-pilot.

If you want permanent change you have to change your “normal.” And this is difficult for many people because they keep steering back to their default way of being.

So it takes time for a new way of being to become the new “normal.”

Does this seem a little confusing?  Ok think about moving to a new house.  For the first few weeks after I moved, I had to consciously remember to drive home to my new address.  More than once I found my car steering to my old place, and a couple times I didn’t even realize it until I was almost in the driveway!  But now I don’t even think about going over there.  My new address is now my “normal” place to go.

So the key to creating permanent change in your life is to create a new “normal” way of being. How to do that will be the topic of future blog posts and newsletters.  So stay tuned!
