Go Ahead And Want It…..But Not Too Bad!

Someone wrote in yesterday about how the things you want but don’t really care about seem to appear effortlessly whereas the things you care about most remain ever elusive.

The reason this happens is attachment.  To put it simply…. the more you want something the more you actually push it away from yourself.

Here’s why….

First, when you want something really badly you tend to think about it all the time.  Good, right?  From a Universal standpoint… not exactly.  See the Universe gets your request the first time.  It doesn’t need to be reminded over and over.  And what happens is that the more you focus on what you want, the more likely you are to send out slight variations of your order.  So instead of just filling it, the Universe runs around in circles trying to comply with all your conflicting requests… the result being that nothing gets delivered.

Second, the more you think about it the more likely you are to notice that it hasn’t arrived yet.  Which makes you more likely to fret and worry about it.  And of course once the focus shifts from happily requesting the thing to worrying about it not being here yet well guess what…. the Universe interprets that to mean you now want to create worrying about it rather than having it.  So of course it complies :)

Ok, so what’s a better way to approach it?

Basically you want to “want something….but not too badly.”  By doing this you are able to to remain somewhat detached from your desire which clears the way to bring it to you more quickly.

This is where the concept of eager anticipation comes in.  You want to see the thing you want as a done deal, then sit back and eagerly await it’s arrival.

As an example let’s say there’s something you want.  So you went online and placed the order. You got the e-mail that says it shipped.  You have the tracking number from UPS so you know it’s on the way.  It’s a done deal!  You *KNOW* without a doubt that soon that brown truck will pull up and deliver the goods.  So all that’s left is to go about the rest of your life.

Do you still think about your thing?  Sure and you can get all giddy inside as you anticipate it’s arrival.  And each time you see a UPS truck go by you feel a surge of excitement because maybe that’s the truck carrying your package.   But if it doesn’t stop at your house that’s ok.  Because you have that tracking number and you *know* it’s coming. No doubt.  No worries.

It is exactly this feeling that makes the difference between speeding your manifestations to you and holding them at a distance.  So order the goods, know it’s a done deal, and then smile as you see the truck go by.  Because soon… very soon in fact… it will stop right at your door to deliver exactly what you ordered :)
