Wow this has been one of those non-stop, go-go-go weeks!

I’ve been so busy I haven’t even had time to get to the grocery store…as evidenced by 1 crust of bread and shockingly empty refrigerator shelves. On the bright side….I have been meaning to clean out that fridge!

About the middle of the week I realized that I had moved from being busy and productive to spinning my wheels – running around without really knowing what I was doing. This left me feeling frazzled, unfocused and very restless.

So what did I do about that?

Well…………..after becoming aware of where I was mentally & emotionally (which isn’t as easy as it may seem when you’re in the thick of things), I took an afternoon and did absolutely nothing. That’s right, despite “needing” to do tons of stuff I just stopped.

I took a nap, went for a walk, goofed off with my daughter – absolutely refused to do anything that even resembled a “should.”

Afternoon spilled into evening and I ended up going to bed early, leaving what seemed like A LOT undone.

Guess what happened?

I woke up refreshed, clear headed and ready to zoom into action. I got more done by noon that day than I had in the previous 2 days!

Of course there’s a lesson here. If I had been paying attention all along I would have known that I was trying to push things instead of waiting for inspiration to take action.

This is such an important concept – wait for inspiration to take action!

Intend that it comes, follow your bliss and let the rest go. When inspiration hits – and it will – you’ll get so much done in such an easy and stress free way you will know that down time was well worth it!

Happy Manifesting!

My personality tends to be a bit introverted so as a business person the idea of “networking” used to make me cringe.

Then a friend of mine, Teri the ReikLadi, offered this definition of networking that completely changed my perception. Teri says:

Networking is lovingly weaving a net
which holds support for each other.

Isn’t that an awesome quote! Now instead of “working a room” or “making contacts” I can meet new friends and make connections that are nurturing and supportive.

And with this new definition business transforms from being “something I do in order to provide money so I can do the stuff I’d rather be doing,” to a way to develop a community, sharing love and support while at the same time providing financial support for me and my family

So how’s your “net of support” looking these days? Is it strong and wide, inviting people in and building a community or is it small and shredded or torn, desperately trying to hold onto what few minnows find their way in?

Try this new definition on for size and let me know how you like it.

Have a great weekend!

Today is the day that most people go back to work.

I’ve been talking to a lot of people about it, and almost no one seems thrilled with the idea. Which makes me wonder why?

Why would someone keep working at a job they don’t like? Or doing anything that doesn’t feed their soul for that matter?

When I posed this question I got a few looks as if I’d gotten right off the ole’ flying saucer. I was informed that that’s just the way it is….you work and if you don’t like it…too bad.

If that’s you then I have a wake up call: You’re an adult!

YOU, and no one else gets to say what you do for work, fun or anything in between. And that means that YOU have the power to make changes if it isn’t working for you anymore.

It doesn’t mean go in this morning and quit your job. It does mean evaluate where you are and start making plans to be somewhere else next year if that’s what you want.

And one more thing before I get off the soap box…things change.

The awesome job opportunity that makes you absolutely giddy today will, in time also run it’s course and not give you the thrill it once did. And then it will be time to move on from that too. The key is being in touch with your inner being so you know when its time to move on, otherwise you’ll be here again next January not wanting to go back to work…again.
